About Us

CognitiveStreams, Inc. believes in maximizing human potential. We are a human/behavioral health service firm that specializes in spiritual formation, character strength training (CST), addiction liberation, and intrapersonal capacity building.

For more than 30 years, we have been assisting numerous individuals and organizations who have experienced what we call a “disturbance of the self.” With our help, it became easy for them to navigate the vicissitudes of everyday life.

Our specialization is providing guidance in achieving clarity and consistency of Thought-Desires-Behavior during moments of character challenges. Our approach has been brewed out of personal experiences, education, professional development, and life lead Character Strength Training.

Biography

Zion J. Djátar

Zion J. Djátar comes to you with a broad background in the field of Human Services. He has served as the Director of Rich’s Academy, an Alternative High School within the Atlanta Public School System. Under his leadership, his faculty guided the school in receiving the “School of the Year” award, from the United Negro College Fund (UNCF). He has over 25 years of experience in the field of Psychiatric Social Work, with 15 of those years being in alternative education.

During his tenure as Director, Zion has served as an Ambassador of Alternative Education. That experience has brought him before an international clientele. Zion has been instrumental as a strategic planner in the replication process of Communities in Schools Network in Los Angeles, New Jersey, Washington, DC, and the Department of Education in London, England. He has worked with a number of organizations in the interest of Human Resource Development, some of which are The United States Department of Education, The Georgia Department of Education and the Georgia Commission on Youth and Children.

As an educator, Zion serves in the dual role of Program Administrator and High School Science Teacher at Diamond Community School, Inc., a Private School serving Kindergarten through Twelfth grades, in Palm Bay, Florida. Zion has served as an adjunct professor for Beulah Heights Bible College, and has served on the Board of Directors of Beulah Heights Bible College. Zion has developed and implemented the researched based curriculum Phoenix Learning Systems© which is an approach to Alternative Education that parallels’ the Psycho-Social need of learners to their Academic needs, and implements a Therapeutic methodology in discipline and behavior management.

As a Human Service Consultant, Zion has worked with a number of Colleges/Universities and Educational Systems such as Harvard University’s School of Education, Indiana University, Bethune-Cookman University, Fulton County Schools, and the University of North Florida’s Higher Education Consortium (HEC). Some of Zion’s clients are: The Unites States Army FORSCOM Division at Fort McPherson Georgia, MGR Food Services, Atlanta, Georgia, the Juvenile Justice Center of Fulton County, the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, The Florida Department of Education, and Northeast Florida Educational Consortium (NEFEC).

Zion has 30 years of Pastoral experience and has served in the position of Senior Pastor in three major denominations with congregations ranging from 25 – 1,200 members. Zion is most effective in the areas of Church Growth, Ministry Development, and Community Partnerships (Evangelism). Zion’s Spiritual Gifts are Administration, Teaching, and Discernment.

Zion has appeared on national and local television/radio programs as ABC Evening News “The American Agenda,” WJBK-TV Detroit, HOVR-TV West Sacramento, and Regional Network Radio, WGST Radio and WCGL Jacksonville, Florida. Zion is frequently called to conduct Training Sessions for a number of National and International Human Resource Conferences. Zion’s been featured in several publications such as The Atlanta Magazine and the books, MENTORS “Making a Difference in Our Public Schools”, Peterson’s Guides Publishers, 1992, Home Town Heroes, and Holy or Un-Holy Hip-Hop.

Zion grew up in the small south Florida town of Dania Beach where he personally experienced the trappings of community risk factors. Acheiving his educational pursuites without the needed acomidations du to learners with maladies of ADHD, Hearing & Vision impediments, Zion has an acute awareness of the undeniable constraints children and their parents face living in “at risk” conditions void of Behavior Health & Wellness Care.
